It’s been no secret that I love the KTM 350 platform. Before now, I’ve owned 3 of them – a 2013 KTM 350 XC-F, a 2021 GasGas EX350F, and a 2022 KTM 350 XC-F Factory Edition. In late 2024, I had the opportunity to ride BeRad’s new YZ450FX and had a blast on it – so much so that I decided to buy one for myself. I spent a season riding that bike and while I had an awesome time on it, I began to miss the 350 by the end of the year. In early 2026 I rode my buddy Nick’s 350 SX-F and knew it was time to go back. I reached out to Basecamp Powersports in Billings, MT, and within a week of that ride I had traded my Yamaha for a new KTM.

While the 350 SX-F is an incredible machine in stock form, I wanted to turn this bike into the ultimate offroad bike. With a handful of 3 hour XC races planned for the year and beyond, there were some tasteful upgrades available to make this bike even better. This video breaks down the bike build:

Linked below are each of the parts I used on the bike. Some links go to Rocky Mountain, where I earn a commission on your purchases. For those parts not available on RM, I have linked directly to the product on the respective company websites. Massive thank you to the amazing companies that helped to make this possible! Some parts are sponsored while others I purchase at full retail price, but every part I’ve installed on this bike is a part I trust and selected carefully.
